"When investment, inclusion and innovation meet"

Take part in the 48th Midi De La Microfinance, organized on February 27 at 12.00 at the Auditorium De La Banque De Luxembourg.

Microfinance is inherently innovative: from its inception, it has used financial techniques and banking tools to innovate in the service of inclusion. In a constantly evolving world, where new technologies are changing supplier / customer relationships, where innovation is concretely changing the daily lives of populations, financial inclusion has fully engaged in this transformative movement, with many challenges such as: reduction in operating costs, risk management, creation of new products and services that are more sustainable or more suited to customers, facilitating proximity and reimbursement tracking.

This observation was also highlighted during the last SAM (African Microfinance Week), conference organized last October in Ouagadougou by ADA, where one of the conclusions insisted on the urgency of modernizing the sector in Africa to achieve the objectives. United Nations Sustainable Development. This modernization is reflected in particular by digital, environmental or agricultural innovations to facilitate access to finance for the most disadvantaged and to offer goods and services compatible with commitments to the climate. So many ideas are emerging today on the Continent! But to realize and market these ideas, innovators and start-ups need funds. How to find financing, When you are an entrepreneur In a southern country, When you aim for markets that are certainly growing But sometimes deemed unstable, When you want to have an impact and contribute to inclusion? What are the investment needs? What possibilities do public and private institutions offer today? We will therefore give the floor to an innovator and an investor to answer these questions to understand how their action contributes to reducing poverty, how investment can be used for inclusive innovation.

ADA, with the support of Infine.lu and the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, is pleased to welcome two exceptional guests to the Banque De Luxembourg Auditorium on February 27:

- Jean-Baptiste Lenoir, co-founder and President De Qotto, an African start-up,
- and Jean-Philippe De Schrevel, Founder and Managing Partner of Bamboo Capital Partners, one of the largest investment funds oriented towards impact financing and start-ups.

This debate will be moderated by Laura Foschi, Executive Director of ADA. Manuel Tonnar, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, will conclude the meeting.
