Leadership is among the most overused, yet misunderstood, term in business. People are expected to demonstrate leadership, but very few know what it is. Employees are often thrust into leadership positions because of earlier success without the tools or understanding to succeed. While some thrive, others fail and most waffle in mediocrity. There are those who strive to avoid leadership responsibilities, but as John Maxwell (American Author on Leadership) suggests, “Everyone is a leader because everyone influences someone.”

In other words, the role of a leader will be yours, the question is will you prepared to thrive when the time comes. Will you be prepared to rise to the occasion when the times come or risk floundering in mediocrity?
