Today, it is assumed that there is a frequency of around 1% for autistic disorders, and those affected are becoming increasingly present in everyday school life thanks to improved diagnostics.
Due to the specific anomalies there are numerous questions and misunderstandings, but with targeted measures it is quite possible to enable students with autism to have a successful schooling.
The speaker, who is both a doctor and a victim, describes her own experiences again and again. Difficulties are presented, but also resources of people with autism as well as helpful measures to support everyday school life and beyond. The measures are worthwhile, because many people affected can lead a beautiful and fulfilling life with the right help. The speaker also wants to give a little courage by her own example.
