CLUSIL Afterwork - Directive nis
The Network and Information System Security (NIS) Directive has a major objective: to ensure a high and common level of security for the networks and information systems of the European Union.
It was adopted by the European institutions on July 6, 2016.
This Directive has been transposed into Luxembourg law May 28, 2019 and gives the ILR the mandate to organize the various sectors concerned to meet the requirements of the law.
In addition to the Essential Service Operators who are directly contacted by the ILR, the Act defines Digital Service Providers as an online marketplace, an online search engine and a cloud computing service.
We offer an Afterwork dedicated to Digital Service Providers: the application of the NIS to their activities, the requirements and the mode of operation and their contribution to the Operators of Essential Services, in particular:
Risk Management (Article 11. (1) of the Law of May 28, 2019)
The implementation of security measures (incident prevention and continuity of service) (Article 11. (2) of the Law of 28 May 2019)
