General objectives
The consumption of alcohol and drugs in the workplace is on the rise. According to some studies, Alcohol is the cause of 30% of fatal accidents and 19% of serious accidents while Drugs are the cause of 6% of fatal accidents and 4% of serious accidents. Alcohol at work would also affect up to 15% of the workforce in some companies, 25% of all accidents at work would probably be due to Alcohol and, in a professional environment, 8.4% of employees surveyed at the occasion of a study of drug addiction would consume illicit substances.
The seminar is intended to provide participants with advice and active action methods to deal with alcohol and drug problems at the workplace.
