The COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken have drastically changed the way citizens coexist. The consequences are particularly visible in European border regions, where border crossings were closed, border controls strengthened and entry considerably restricted in March 2020.

The Round Table examines the experience of border closure in the Greater Region and wants, from a retrospective perspective, to discuss it critically and productively with a view to the future. They will be discussed daily realities and protest initiatives and tackled Border management and Political (interregional) consultation processes. The debate will be pushed to the point of knowing what the future of cross-border cooperation with or after COVID-19 should look like.
