Designated Worker Safety and Health Worker: A Key Element in The Sustainability of Your Business
Luxembourg legislation requires the employer to ensure the safety and health of employees in all aspects related to work. The responsibilities of the employer include Prevention, Information and Training activities.
In this context, the number of designated workers required per enterprise is determined by the total number of employees and the number of risk positions present in the enterprise. In accordance with the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 9 June 2006, the companies are divided into 7 GROUPS which determine, among other things, the minimum duration of training, the professional experience and the minimum basic qualification of the designated worker (see table below).

Continuing education (recycling)
Holders of a Designated Worker Certificate must follow within a period of 5 years a certain number of minimum continuous training hours, depending on the Group of which the company is a part:
Group A: minimum 4 hours
Group B: minimum 8 hours
GROUPS C1 - C4 (adm.): Minimum 8 hours
GROUPS C5 - D: minimum 10 hours

At the end of the Course Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation issued by The House of Training.

The Course Material can be downloaded free of charge, five days before the beginning of the course, via your access portal. You have the possibility to order, against payment, a printed version of the Course Material by adding this option during the course registration. You will be issued at the beginning of the course.
