With the 2020 Open Data for Smart Mobility in Europe conference, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) intends to initiate a European-wide dialogue between stakeholders from government, public authorities, industry and research community on data-driven mobility applications and innovations, thus placing this topic in the European Mobility Agenda 4.0.

The aim of this conference is to show:
which data-driven innovations can already be used at European level and in the Member States,
how successful strategies in individual regions or countries can be replicated elsewhere or across Europe and become commercially viable as well as
how the availability, provision and accessibility of multimodal traffic data in Europe can generally be improved.
The goal is to reach as many people as possible, either experts in this field or passionate about digital transformation.
