Architecture, Engineering & Town Planning This training is offered in the form of face-to-face training.

This module is part of a complete training cycle covering all aspects related to Building Information Modeling, from the basics to the tools for the BIM Manager, including the training of the BIM coordinator.


Goals

The training aims to analyze and understand practical interoperability issues related to the IFC format with a view to solving or avoiding these issues. To achieve this, participants will learn to read the contents of an IFC file in a text editor, after having acquired the basics on the structure and operation of IFC files.

IFC certification process

Read an IFC file (in text format):

IFC file and its structure (continuation of the BIM Referent training)

Use of the BuildingSmart website relating to IFC

Utilities for reading and analyzing IFCs

IFC case study, problem analysis and resolution:

spatial structure

positioning / georeferencing

geometry (explanation of the basics of 3D representation)

the extraction of quantities

model recovery (Design Transfer)

Target audience

Architects, consulting engineers, engineers-technicians, interior architects, town planners and land planners, surveyors, State administrations, developers, construction companies (shell and finishing work), etc.

This module is offered separately to give the possibility to BIM Modelers and BIM Referent (and any other person) to go further in the IFC subject.
Prerequisite

Have experience with exchanges in IFC format

or

have followed the BIM - Referent training (IFC structure)

or

have followed the modeling tools - exchanges and BIM method training
Certificate

At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by the House of Training and the CRTI-B.
