With the reliance on data network and information systems and services notably via the internet, the finance industry, and more specifically the fund industry, has become more vulnerable to cyberattacks. This is why building cyber-resilience is critical in today’s ecosystem. This risk became even more important to address in a post Covid-19 world where the majority of the organisations worked remotely from home.

Diverse cyber-incidents show that targeted organisations can have difficulties handling the consequences directly or indirectly due to lack of situational awareness at different levels within organisations. Cybersecurity shall be a clear subject not only to IT specialists but also to the board of directors and senior management of the fund industry in order for them to exercise a proper oversight. Cybersecurity needs to be built into organisation’s objectives, risk and business continuity plans.

With this in mind, ALFI Cybersecurity Working Group prepared a document setting out harmonised guidelines on the governance and risk management processes that should be implemented at the level of an organisation.

What we will be covering during the event?

Key legal and regulatory implications;
Governance and oversight;
Cyber-risk and crisis management;
