Advise the patient appropriately when raising a complaint of diarrhea, when requesting an antidiarrheal MNSP (identification of warning signs, QuiDAM approach)
Summary of training
Speakers: Pharmacist A. Soyer, Pharmacist S. Pirlot
We will focus our attention on a pharmacological class very frequently dispensed in pharmacies. "antidiarrheals" and on the management of diarrhea in a global way.
Through fundamental reminders and counter situations, we will review an approach leading to quality pharmaceutical care. Any request at the counter must be analyzed by the pharmacist to lead to advice, dispensation or referral to another healthcare provider (QuiDAM approach).
It is important to identify risky situations, patients at risk, warning signs, potential interactions with current medication and with the pathologies and physiological states of the patient (contraindications), etc. adequately at his request. This approach contributes to the essential positioning of our profession in the chain of care. An opportunity to update your knowledge or refresh your memory!
