Power BI is a Microsoft dashboard tool for data analysis. Power BI gives users more freedom through open-source visualizations and smoother formats and sizes. Power BI dashboards can share information with all important metrics in one place and updated in real time. Users can combine data from databases and disparate files. The key differentiators from other tools such as Tableau, Qlik, BusinessObjects, are: Power BI offers dynamic narration, a visual wow factor, scenario tests, and web dashboards. Power Pivot features such as KPIs and quick metrics are also integrated with Power BI. For advanced data scientists, it is also possible to link PowerBi to R and to expose the machine learning models developed with R in a Power Bi dashboard.
