News reports daily about a so-called brutalization of our society. They report on thugs, outbursts of violence, acts of violence and revenge, self-justice and many other events. In this lecture we will also try to clarify the question from a scientific perspective, whether this is a brutalization of society or an accumulation of various multilateral phenomena and what role our individual perception plays in this.
