Legitech Follow
Workshop organized in partnership with Legitech, University of Luxembourg, LegalTech4You.
Source of fears and fantasies, artificial intelligence in the area of law raises many questions. Artificial intelligences will eventually replace the profession of lawyer? Do lawyers need to fear competition with technology? Can machines be used to support or even replace magistrates and unclog courts?
The emergence of artificial intelligence worries and fascinates.
The development of artificial intelligences also raises ethical questions. How much autonomy will these technologies leave to humans? For what purposes will our personal data taken into account in the exploitation of powerful algorithms be used? How to make sure that the decisions made by an artificial intelligence will not be discriminating?
In direct connection with the theme of innovation and law, between passion and reason, the 63rd UIA Congress, the question of artificial intelligence applied to the law deserved a forum in itself: this is the object of this workshop .
