The Linklaters Learning Hub in Luxembourg

Directive (PSD 2) will become applicable. After years of preparation and discussions, this will effectively mark the beginning of a new era of open banking in the European Union.

The rules have the potential to radically change the status quo of the EU banking and payments landscape, impacting banks, payment institutions, FinTechs and customers.

This session will provide you with a general overview of the main changes brought forward by the new regulatory framework. We will consider some of the implementation challenges and try to predict the major changes affecting the sector in the years to come.

This session will be delivered by Raoul Heinen, Managing Associate in our Investment Funds team, who has advised many clients in the context of their PSD 2 implementation projects. Raoul will be joined by Raoul Mulheims and Mallorie Ribet from Finologee, a major Luxembourg-based FinTech and RegTech specialist, which provides financial institutions with a ready-to-use PSD2 product.
