Objectives
The implementation of the Alternative Fund Managers law and regulations has raised the awareness of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (‘AIFMs’) about the risk management of Alternative Investment Funds (‘AIFs’).
The ability of AIFMs to manage risks has become more and more integrated with the day-to-day management duties of Asset Managers, as risk management and portfolio management are the two intertwined core components of investment management.
This training aims to provide you with some guidelines concerning the way the risk management function must be implemented and work, together with the risk management tools and practices available. Considering the specificity of the matter, some business cases will illustrate the theatrical presentation.
Moreover, this training aims to shed some light on the implications of the new PRIIPs regulation which came into force on the 1st of January 2018 and which is likely to add an additional layer of complexity to risk management for Alternative Investment Funds sold to retail investors within the meaning of MiFID 2.
