This year, the Belgian population will elect their representatives at different levels of power. We will be invited to go to the polls in two stages. The month of June will concern the regional, federal and European levels of power. The second moment, in October, will allow the election of future municipal and provincial representatives.
The MOC wishes to open the debate on certain issues which concern these institutions.

By promoting close collaboration between local stakeholders, development councils encourage decentralized decision-making adapted to the specificities of each region. Their inclusive nature allows for a more diverse representation of stakeholders, thus promoting consideration of the varied needs of the population. They emphasize transparency and open communication, thereby strengthening citizens' trust in the regional planning process. They thus emerge as essential catalysts for the creation of more dynamic, inclusive policies adapted to local realities in Belgium.
As the 2024 elections approach, we will highlight this alternative to intermunicipal associations.
