Family governance: a holistic approach.
Today, the lawyer, the notary or the wealth planner in a bank or a family office, meets more and more often business leaders or wealthy people clueless in the face of a family situation that seems inextricable to them and potentially endangers what they have taken years to build. It is no longer just about managing the relationship with "patches", or protecting future generations, but to bring out common values, a coherent vision in order to (re) build, across generations and cultures, a way of operating the family and the family business that protects and develops the business or family patrimony.
The approach must be holistic; taking into account cultural, social and psychological factors is just as important as pure analysis
legal.
At a time when civil and corporate law are evolving very rapidly, close but different legal formulas emerge. It is fundamental that legal professionals and family organizations have as broad a vision as possible of the opportunities offered by the various legal orders in order to guide families in the sometimes difficult choices they must make in order to protect and to perpetuate their heritage.
